The Paul Gauguin was designed specifically for sailing French Polynesia year-round. She offers an extension of the informal, relaxing environment of the islands, with Regent Seven Seas' interpretation of six-star service, comfort and luxury. Spacious staterooms (50% with private balconies), a watersports marina, a choice of two single seating dining venues and an extensive spa are among her six-star attributes. The atmosphere aboard radiates warmth and informality. And her beloved troupe of Gauguines - part cruise staff, part entertainers, part storytellers, add the unique personality of French Polynesia to every cruise.

Le Grand Salon Watch spectacular performances such as an electrifying Polynesian show featuring the arts of the islands in the main lounge. One night it might be the soaring cappella harmonies of himene songs. Another might feature a thrilling performance of ote'a - a complex line dance accompanied by drums telling the ancestral legends of the Polynesian people. Later on in your cruise, you'll have a chance to learn how to dance in true Polynesian style from our wonderful Gauguines performers. |
Casino and Connoiseur Club On any evening, pulses run high in the Le Casino with its blackjack tables and roulette wheel. Or when Cognac and cigars are in order, the Connoisseur Club provides a warmly relaxing environment, much like a favorite private club in London. Have a glass of port at the bar or pick your favorite smoke from the humidor. |
La Palette Lounge Sing along at the piano bar in this spectacular observation lounge atop the ship. At night it's transformed into a romantic nightclub where a chanteuse sings the Parisian blues and couples sway on the indoor/outdoor dance floor. |
L'Etoile Enjoy fine French cuisine with a Polynesian accent amid the classic furnishings and fluted shell lighting reminiscent of one of the refined dining establishments in Paris. Here delectable cuisine is artfully presented and guests receive the most diligent attention. |
La Veranda Veranda's curved railings and sun-infused ambience might recall leisurely dining on a yacht club terrace on the Côte d'Azur. Two-star Michelin chef Jean-Pierre Vigato is the genius behind its celebrated cuisine. His original Apicius menu offered nightly in La Veranda incorporates both signature dishes and fresh creations, from Shrimp and Leek Terrine to Fresh Mahi-Mahi on a Mousseline of Bacalao. |
Le Grill Greet the sun with a buffet breakfast at Le Grill. Or enjoy lunch by the pool on a choice of grilled favorites, salads and fresh tropical fruits. At night Le Grill is transformed into a cozy indoor/outdoor restaurant serving grilled specialties in a more casual atmosphere. |
Carita of Paris Spa Enter a world of serenity and beauty, where the sound of fountains, the glow of cool marble and the touch of the masseuse erase all cares. Take your pick of massage, thalassotherapy, aromatherapy, wraps or steam room treatments - all skillfully administered by wonder-working hands. |
Fitness Center & Aerobics Room Excercise your options in the Fitness Center with Lifecycles, treadmills, Stairmasters and weight machines. Or work out on or under the water with windsurfing, waterskiing, kayaking, and our exclusive PADI diving program. |
Guest Lecturers Each cruise is hosted by a special guest lecturer to provide fascinating insights and a greater understanding of the Polynesian people. |
Watersports Platform Watersports are a highlight of the Polynesian experience. The ship's small size allows it to navigate in shallow lagoons and narrow channels where larger ships may not sail. With the specially designed retractable watersports platform, guests may descend to sea level where they can conveniently hop aboard a windsurfer, launch a kayak, try a little waterskiing or set out for a SCUBA diving expedition. A scuba certification program is offered on board. |
